Wait Before Blinking

From years of observation, I have found that motorists don't need driving instruction on how to operate a car. They need driving instructions on how to operate a car in the presence of other drivers in their cars. That's what is missing in our society right now. Those of you who have seen some of my earlier blogs, please, please stop leaving your blinkers on at red lights when you're not turning, especially in the Right Turn or Left Turn Only Lanes. The signal to make a right or left turn is for when you are going to or are making a turn. Not when a car or truck is standing still waiting for the light to change from red to green. Before making your turn, it is correct to signal your intention to turn rather than go straight ahead. It's not just a courtesy, it is good driving practice.
