Tips To Students For Increasing Their Car’s Value While Lowering Repairs Needed

An old and very appropriate adage I learned many years ago, goes like this: Preserve (take good care of) one’s possessions or what one has use of until one can easily afford to get a better version or replacement.

Driving an impaired motor vehicle correctly is less desirable, less fun, and more expensive than a motor vehicle in excellent repair. It only takes the decision to invest the time and effort to learn how this is accomplished. It goes with expert driving skills. The two are indispensable in my opinion.

If we agree that preventative care of our bodies is superior to letting the medical profession take control of that responsibility, then we should likewise agree to take care of our cars in equal measure.

Every time we change the car’s oil for new oil according to the expert schedule and not the manufacturer’s general specifications, and every time we do this for the transmission fluid, and the brake fluid in like manner we are playing clever to extend the life of our cars and lessening the mechanical headaches and expenses of not following this expert’s instruction. And this includes maintaining proper tire pressure and tire proper tire tread and changing out worn wiper blades before a bad wiper blade-too little rubber left-scratches our windshield. Here then, is where uncommon knowledge, coupled with discipline pays dividends, sometimes lifesaving as well, if we simply ask for it and then utilize it.
